Straight Talk About Referral Fees

Payment of referral fees benefits our clients and the public by insuring that personal injury matters are referred to and handled by board certified specialists in personal injury trial law. There should be no question at the end of a lawsuit about the amount owed to the referring attorney.

Our referring lawyer agreements are made in writing, and unless we agree otherwise in advance, the Chambers Law Firm will pay referral fees in contingent fee cases according to this schedule:

In a case that settles for $1,000,000 or less the referral fee is 35% of the attorney's fees paid by the client to Chambers.

In a case that settles for $1,000,000 to $3,000,000 the referral fee is 40% of the attorney's fees paid by the client to Chambers.

In a case that settles for $3,000,000 or more the referral fee is 50% of the attorney's fees paid by the client to Chambers.

Because many attorneys refer friends, family members or business associates, referring attorneys may participate in the litigation to whatever extent they wish. Or, they can choose to let the Chambers Law Firm handle all aspects of preparation and trial.

Referral fees are for referring lawyers only.
By law, non-lawyers cannot receive referral fees.
